Praying the Psalms
Throughout the Psalms, David and the other writers poured out their hearts to God in prayer, expressing honest feelings of anguish and desperate pleas for protection. They grieved painful confessions of sin, confidently expressed their hope and trust in God, and joyfully lifted praises to Him.
We often find ourselves, though, in situations, throughout the many ups and downs and crises of life, where we don't know how to pray or express our feelings to God. This then makes it difficult to get to a place of hope, trust, and praise. Our fears, frustrations, and even anger sometimes keep us from saying what we really feel.
1-Thing is a safe place for you to genuinely cry out to God, freely expressing your anguish, fears, and uncertainties; to know Him as the God who loves you just as you are.
Join other men tonight from 7:30 til about 9 on Jimmy's back porch. The address is 16982 Kirkshire Ave in Beverly Hills... look for a silver VW Jetta in the driveway. Park on the street, and walk up the driveway and around to the back of the house. If you're able, bring a chair to sit on.
